It was quite the hot Canada Day weekend in 2023.

June 30, 2023
Starting off with the photo walk on June 30, 2023. It was great to meet a new and old photographers. One of the hosts couldn’t make it but the other host did a fine job with walking around downtown Ottawa and capture night shots as well.

Prior to the photo walk, there was an open air dance party and vintage shopping called Ooh Festival. It was held at the Ottawa sign in the ByWard Market. DJ sets as well as sneaker and vintage clothing vendors were displayed.

It was quite the busy Friday before the Canada Day celebrations.

July 1st – Canada Day
It’s been a long time doing this kind of July 1st tradition of going to museums in Ottawa. They are usually free on Canada Day. This year is no exception because the Canadian Museum of History has a special exhibit which showcases Canadian children television program. The exhibit is called From Pepinot to Paw Patrol – Television of Our Childhood. It was a great step of nostalgia. Props from The Friendly Giant, Polka Dot Door, Mr. Dressup and several are on display at the museum. The exhibit runs until September 1st, 2023.

You can check the photos below.

Apologies for the lack of entries and updates as things got bogged down for a couple of months. With hot humid weather and crazy air quality, that was the Canada Day weekend in a nutshell.
