Kicking off the new season, it’s a privilege to come to you in Hong Kong. It’s been a long time I last went to the exciting city, which was in the Summer of 2000.

During the previous seasons of the blog, the only time I’ve been away from Ottawa were Toronto and Montreal. It’s been a long time coming to travel to Hong Kong.

A lot of things have changed in the city. With the pandemic still continuing, Hong Kong has one of the strictest measures. Fortunately, I endured the designated quarantine hotel for 3 days instead of the 7 days.

I arrived in Hong Kong on August 18th and stayed at the DQH for 4 days, the first day being Day 0. Luckily, the hotel gave meals from morning, lunch and dinner (pictures shown below). I couldn’t go out of the hotel room and stayed ins

After the 3 days quarantine, it was off to another hotel to stay for a month. I was able to do a bit sightseeing. Mostly staying in the Mong Kok/Yau Ma Tei area during the first week in Hong Kong.

As for further blog entries, it will be a bit of a wait as I will return to Ottawa on September 21st, expect a steady amount of entries come late September as I will detail my adventures in Hong Kong.

It’s quite an exciting time for the blog and myself.

Here are the photos from the first several days in Hong Kong.
Enjoy!
