It’s a 9.9.09 to remember because I bought The Beatles Rock Band for the Nintendo Wii (pictured) and a way to start off the new season on this blog. I am surprised that I am up to 5 seasons and hoping to keep improving on my entries. It has been awhile that I have been playing music video games due to playing Punch-Out!! (a friend is still borrowing it) and the TV room is a mess at the moment thanks to 2 new bookshelves needing to be placed. I got a chance to play The Beatles Rock Band and have to say that it is excellent to hear their songs remastered. I only played 3 songs and I wish I can get friends over to playing it. Luckily, the Guitar Hero instruments are compatible to The Beatles Rock Band game. Although, Beatlemania continues to rock out in the 2000s and finally in digital form.
Also pictured is the Street Fighter book called SF20: The Art of Street Fighter. I didn’t know it was being released at The Comic Book Shoppe and I decided to go for it because they added art from Street Fighter IV and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. I still love the Street Fighter series. It brings a nostalgic feeling looking at the artworks from the video game covers to magazines.
New Name and New Look
I decided to change the name to The WildWorks Station because during the Summer, I have been incorporating more music and radio coverage. I got a chance to become a fill-in host at CKCU-FM and it’s become a learning experience to actually host a radio show. Expect to see more on the music front for this blog. It’s great to hang out with radio hosts from Monday and Thursday at CKCU-FM.
With the name change, I felt that Lenny’s World didn’t seem right since I don’t really travel around the world and the title didn’t make sense to what I am writing.
With the new look, I accidentally changed the template by mistake, that was very unexpected as I was supposedly browsing on the templates here. Continue reading
Street Fighter IV
Finally Tried Street Fighter IV – S04E17
Yep, I finally got a chance to play Street Fighter IV on the Sony PlayStation 3 at a friend’s house on Thursday night. It was great to see my friend because we haven’t hung around for awhile due to his work and other things. There you see a lame photo of myself playing SF4. What did I think of the game? The graphics are nice and the moveset has been the same except for the changes to the Super moves. It was a confusing to know that there is a new combo called Ultra Combo and another new feature called Focus Attacks. Overall, it’s the same Street Figther and I was happy to Ken, Chun-Li and others. The question remains, which console system to get; PS3 or Xbox 360? I am still having a difficult time on what to choose because of Street Fighter IV.
Who Watches The Watchmen? It’s unlikely I will be getting a chance to watch The Watchmen in theatres because my bro is refusing to go see it with me and I think various friends will be watching it at their planned times. Plus, this friend of mine is still in Boston and wish to watch it with him since we are comic fans. Furthermore, I still haven’t read through my copy of The Watchmen (Absolute Edition) because it’s an oversized hardcover and I am very delicate in keeping my books in good shape.
TV Watching. I am still hooked on watching lots of Gordon Ramsay shows. From The F Word (Food Network Canada link) to Hell’s Kitchen, I am totally hooked on the famous chef swearing alot. I am also watching Survivor: Tocantins and for the life of me, why?! I guess there is not much to watch on Thursday nights but I don’t watch it LIVE because I just record it and watch it later. Thank goodness to PVR.
Another show I really enjoy is CBC’s Being Erica. It’s an excellent series because I wish I could time travel and fix up my own mistake. What’s surprising is that they play Pop music and it’s a Canadian show. It kind of bring me back memories knowing certain songs.
