Ottawa celebrated its 200th bicentennial birthday. On Saturday, a lot of events were happening and one was the return of Nuit Blanche.
After taking a trek from Little Italy to downtown, it started with checking out Soundscape. It was an immersive music and arts festival located at Plaza Bridge in Ottawa. There was a long lineup as it was at capacity. The lineup from Saturday had Bytown Sea Shanty Collective and Hollerado.
After that was heading to the Byward Market to check what’s happening at Nuit Blanche Ottawa. There were a few art installation I missed out. One of the installations I got to see was Prismatica. It had spinning prisms showing unique colours.
Onwards was waiting for eVenti Verticali: CUBO. It had 3 scheduled timeslots and 11:20pm being the last one. This one was where a steel cube being suspended from a crane and it had dancers perform around it. Definitely was a sight to watch from it and great seeing a lot people go out to Byward Market.
Afterward was walking down to Confederation Park to see the art installation, Monuments. This was where lights projecting from the trees showing faces and coming alive. That was very stunning to watch.
It was a great night heading out to downtown Ottawa to see the events for the 200th celebration.
