A Crazy End For The Final Weekend of May – S06E39

What I didn’t expect for May 28, 2011 was there to be a lot of activities and events. The photo from above were runners returning from their event at Ottawa Race Weekend. Aside from that, I attended two fashion shows and the worse part being that I overdressed because the weather was warm and thought that it was going to be cool. The first event I went was the I AM FASHION: RIP FAB LANE at the National Arts Centre’s Panoramic Room. I got to see a few recognizable people from the previous fashion show in March. The event got to a slightly late start but I was able to view some of the stylish clothes that the models worn on the runway. Mind you, I got occupied with taking photos and I couldn’t get a good eye on the details. Afterwards, I bolted off to The Canadian War Museum for Angie’s Models & Talent International Showcase 2011. Luckily I arrived as Angie spoke on stage to starting the showcase. I didn’t know the showcase started off with children and not realize well-known clothing brands like Gap were involved in the showcase. It was nice to see the fashion designers and models strutting their talent to impress the agents from around the continental.
Overall, it was a crazy Saturday attending two shows and not knowing the weather would be warm as Summer is approaching.
As June approaches, season six of the blog and season two on CKCU-FM will be winding down. Expect a season finale soon.
If you want to go back from a previous entry, which includes the separate audio interviews with two models from Angie’s Models, it’s at this link.
Don’t forget to browse through the photos. Apologies if I didn’t name the designers from the showcase.
Lastly, shoutouts go out to the fashion bloggers like Sincerely, Sabrina and others as I saw them at the events.
